OUTBREAK: Junior High Ministry
Common Ground Studies (CGS)
CGS are the Jr. High (7th & 8th grades) Bible studies that meet in room #210/211 upstairs in the Christian Life Center (CLC). The purpose of CGS is to study the Bible in fellowship. When we come together to study the Word, everybody is on he same level as learners and disciples of Christ.
Roots is for 7th & 8th grade students. During the school year, we meet each Sunday in CLC room 101 & 102 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. This is a fun time of group building, games and activities, outreach, and ministry / service projects with the goals of having fun, learning to serve the church and community, and becoming prepared for high school.
Collide are individual groups for guys and gals that meet to offer opportunities for in-depth study and discipleship with one of our adult leaders! These groups focus on what the Bible says and how it can be applied during the Jr. high years.
This is the focus of our ministry. It’s a time of Bible teaching and preparation for ministry. This is where Sr. High students get all of the information regarding mission trips, ministry events, etc.
A ministry of high school students. We meet Thursdays during the school year, from 7:00-9:00 PM and begin in room 101 & 102, downstairs in the CLC. Each week we take part in an exciting activity that includes community outreach/ ministry, missions, or fellowship. It is a time of students experiencing first-hand how to make a difference in their group of friends, their communities, and around the world.
During the summer, we meet Thursday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm at various locations. Check out our summer calendar, or call Drew to find out what’s on the schedule.
S.L.S.R. (Student Led Student Run) Bible Study:
This is a student-led Bible study (with adult supervision) on Thursday evenings during the school year. We meet from 5:30-6:45 PM in someone’s home or room 102 of the CLC. Students are divided into 2 groups – one for gals, and another for guys. They are taught each week by a peer who has studied and prepared a lesson. This is a great time of learning and development that creates “positive peer pressure.”
The second Thursday of each month we meet at King’s Kids for a great time of fellowship, games, music, giveaways and a short teaching. It is located on the west side at 936 W Sunset Rd. Bring your friends for an awesome evening!
CAM: College-Age Ministry
Mission: The mission of CBC’s College Age Ministry is to know God more through our relationship with Him and the building up of others around us.
Demonstrate our love for others by the attitude of our hearts
The College Age Ministry is an opportunity for you here in El Paso, New Mexico and/or Juarez to express yourself in a relational environment that is open to all students ages 18+. CAM is for any student at whatever spiritual point you may be. Plus it’s a great opportunity to learn from others and feel welcome…no matter who you are.
Drew Cook (Student Ministries Director) hosts the college-age fellowship night. It’s a great opportunity for food and worship, as well as listening to a message and asking questions. Food and drinks are provided and there is no cost to attend! Bring your Bible and a friend!
