OUTBREAK: Junior High Ministry
Common Ground Studies (CGS)
CGS are the Jr. High (7th & 8th grades) Bible studies that meet in room #210/211 upstairs in the Christian Life Center (CLC) from 7-8 pm on Saturdays or from 11 AM – 12:15 PM each Sunday morning. The prupose of CGS is to study the Bible in fellowship. When we come together to study the Word, everybody is on he same level as learners and disciples of Christ.
Sunday Night Youth (S.N.Y.)
SNY is for 7th & 8th grade students. During the school year, we meet every Sunday evening downstairs in the CLC in room 101 & 102 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. This is fun time of group building games and activities, outreach, and ministry / service projects with the goals of having fun, learning to serve the church and community, and becoming prepared for high school.
Collide are individual groups for guys and gals that meet to offer opportunities for in-depth study and discipleship with one of our adult leaders! These groups focus on what the Bible says and how it can be applied during the jr. high years.

Senior High Ministry
Saturday Night Life (SNL) & Sunday School:
This is the focus of our ministry. It’s a time of Bible teaching and preparation for ministry. This is where sr. high students get all of the information regarding mission trips, ministry events, etc. Saturday Nights: 5:30 worship in the sanctuary and 7:00 pm SNL in the Sr. High Activity Center (The S.H.A.C.)
Sunday School is held at 10:55 am on Sundays in The S.H.A.C. (CLC Rm. 101/102)
G.Y.M.N. (Generation “Y” Ministry Night):
A ministry of high school students. We meet the 2nd-5th Thursdays of each month during the school year, from 7:00-9:00 PM and begin in room 101 & 102, downstairs in the CLC. Each week they take part in an exciting activity that has to do with community outreach/ministry, missions, or fellowship. It is a time of students experiencing first-hand how to make a difference in their group of friends, their communities, and around the world.
During the summer months, we meet each Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm at various locations when we’re not on a mission trip. Make sure to check out our summer calendar, or call Murray to find out what’s on schedule for the week.
S.L.S.R. (Student Led Student Run) Bible Study:
This is a student-led Bible study (with adult supervision) on Thursday evenings during the school year. We meet from 5:30-6:45 PM in someone’s home or in room 102 of the CLC. Students are divided into 2 groups – one for gals, and another for guys. They are taught each week by a peer that has studied and prepared a lesson in advance. This is a great time of learning and development that creates “positive peer pressure.” Call to find out where we’re meeting this month.
The first Thursday of each month we meet in the Burns’ garage for a great time of fellowship, games, music, giveaways and a short teaching. Their home is located on the west side at 4808 Olmos. Bring your friends for an awesome evening!

CAM: College-Age Ministry
The mission of CBC’s College Age Ministry is to know God more through our relationship with Him and the building up of others around us.
It is only through a trust in Christ that we can show true love, speak the truth, create lasting relationships and leave a proper legacy.
- Demonstrate our love to God by trusting in Christ Jesus alone.
- Demonstrate our love for others by the attitude of our hearts.
- Demonstrate these goals, so that others may do the same.
The College Age Ministry is an opportunity for you here in El Paso, New Mexico and/or Juarez to express yourself in a relational environment that is open to all students ages 18 and up. CAM is for any student at whatever spiritual point you may be. Plus it’s a great opportunity to learn from others and feel welcomed…no matter who you are.
Murray Van Gundy (Student Ministries Pastor) hosts the college-age fellowship night. It’s a great opportunity for food and worship, as well as listening to a message and asking questions. Food and drinks are provided and the cost to attend is FREE. Bring your Bible and a friend!
